Last December, Mozilla’s CEO, Anthony Enzor-DeMeo, garnered considerable attention with his declaration that Firefox was evolving into a “modern AI browser.”
To ensure user satisfaction, the company concurrently pledged a new configuration option that would allow individuals to disable some or all of the browser’s AI functionalities, including the integrated sidebar chatbot, automated translations, tab organization features, and link previews.
It has now been confirmed that these new AI controls will be implemented in Firefox version 148, which is slated for public release on February 24th. Mozilla officially unveiled this functionality on Monday.
