Strawberry, a company based in Stockholm, is releasing its “self-driving,” AI-enhanced browser into open beta following a year of private trials. This browser features integrated AI agents capable of navigating, interacting, and executing genuine tasks for users, including on websites that require login.
The objective is to provide AI agents to individuals without extensive technical expertise, like sales professionals, recruiters, and data analysts, eliminating the need for them to compose complex prompts or code. A significant new addition is a tailored onboarding experience that identifies the user’s role and typical workflow. Upon receiving user permission, the system generates a profile and then proposes pertinent tasks, thereby simplifying the initial setup and usage.
Based on Strawberry’s internal assessments, their browser demonstrates superior performance in real-world workflows compared to rival AI tools such as Perplexity’s Comet and Open AI’s ChatGPT Atlas. Furthermore, the browser achieved approximately 78% in the GAIA agent benchmark.
Strawberry can be downloaded and used at no cost for evaluation. Unlocking its complete set of features requires a monthly subscription of $20.
